Holy Island from the Sky,

Johnny was lucky enough to fly over North Northumberland and took this great picture.

It is amazing how different places look from the sky.

Saint Aidan came down from Iona to establish a Monastery on Lindisfarne https://www.lindisfarne.org.uk. “Lindisfarne is internationally famous both for its medieval religious heritage and also its more recent picturesque 16th century castle.”

Lindisfarne Castle is a National Trust property :Travel across the causeway to Holy Island and discover this magical place. Lindisfarne Castle was converted by famed architect Sir Edwin Lutyens into a private holiday home for Edward Hudson, founder of Country Life magazine” https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/lindisfarne-castle#Overview

Holy Island is a fantastic place to visit with a wide open deserted beach, sand dunes, walks around the Island, also a Castle and Monastery , as it is tidal Island please always check the tide times. https://holyislandcrossingtimes.northumberland.gov.uk
